Sadly, Scales had to leave the series due to Alzheimer’s, after originally being diagnosed in 2013. The celebrity couple decided to depart the series after this, releasing a statement with the news back in January of 2020. The statement read: “Good luck Gyles and Sheila. Enjoy the countryside and the pubs.”
