Who is Silvera?
We are a non-healthcare organization serving Calgary seniors with differing levels of income. Silvera is home to more than 1,450 residents in our 26 supportive living and independent living communities located in neighbourhoods across the city. We are a non-profit organization with more than 400 caring employees.
What does Silvera mean?
The original bearer of the name Silvera, which is a local surname, once lived, held land, or was born in the beautiful region of Spain. The surname Silvera was derived from the Latin word “silva,” which meant “wood.”
