Can you make your own helicoil?

You can make an intertion tool for a heli coil by taking a bolt the same size as the inside of the coil and hack sawing a groove in the tip of the bolt to accept the part on the heli coil that crosses between the thread at the end of it. You may have to dress up the end of the bolt some, but it will work.
