What is Super Baldiez bald cap?
Details. New Super Baldiez is our latest BALD CAP PLASTIC it has been formulated to be used for both encapsulating Platsil gel 10 appliances and the creation of bald caps. Super BALDIEZ edges can be blended into the skin using Isopropyl Alcohol (instead of Acetone).
What is cap plastic SFX?
Cap plastic is essentially a soft plastic melted down into a solvent, usually acetone as it is easily available and evaporates quickly. This material would be painted onto a head form (such as a plastic ‘redhead’ from Kryolan) in several layers and when dry, the resulting skin is powdered, peeled off and used.
How do you use Baldiez?
To use Super Baldiez to create a bald cap; locate your bald cap mould or head mould in a suitable location and firstly apply a mould release agent to the surface. Go on to apply up to 5 coats of Super Baldiez to the mould, allow 10 minutes between each coat to allow the product to cure.
How do you use a plastic cap?
To use Cap Plastic for encapsulation – 2 parts IPA : 1 part Cap Plastic. Spray Ease Release 800 into a silicone mold or plastic mold. Allow to dry and then brush 10 layers of Cap Plastic into the mold allowing each layer to dry. Each layer to be brushed into detail and over the edge as a flange.
What is encapsulated silicone?
