What is a scout Denner?

A denner is a member of your Cub Scout den who is either elected or appointed to be an official “helper” for the den. The position gives the boys an opportunity to serve in a leadership role. For our den, we have a ceremony that we do when a new boy takes over the role.

How do you wear a Denner cord?

The cord is worn around the left shoulder. Older Den Chief cords have a tab which is attached to the underside of the left shoulder epaulet and the cord surrounds the left shoulder. Newer Den Chief cords do not have the tab and is worn under the left shoulder epaulet and the cord surrounds the left shoulder.

What is a pack meeting?

The pack meeting brings all of the dens in the pack together for the purposes of recognizing the achievements of the Cub Scouts, communicating information about upcoming events, and providing a program that enriches the Cub Scouting experience. A good pack meeting is well planned and well organized.

What is a den chief?

A Den Chief is a Scout, Venturer or Sea Scout assisting a Cub Scout den. Encourages the transition of Webelos Scouts into Scouts BSA; Holds a leadership position in the troop or crew, thus fulfilling an advancement requirement in the unit.
