When should I install Schluter?
Schluter tile edge must be installed before the tile is set.
Can you put Schluter over wood?
We don’t recommend or warranty DITRA or DITRA-XL installation over existing hardwood flooring as it is very unstable and difficult to bond to, making it a poor substrate for tile. We recommend removal of the finished hardwood flooring and then following the applicable DITRA Handbook detail.
