What does the we movement include?
In a nutshell, WE Movement makes doing good, doable. It accomplishes this through the initiatives that it has developed, which include WE Schools, WE Families, WE Villages, WE Well-Being, WE Day, and the ME to WE social enterprise.
What is the point of We Day?
WE Day was created to celebrate the students who have taken action on one local and one global cause. Though it is technically a one-day event, it is a year-long service program full of learning and developing leadership skills toward becoming active citizens.

Craig and Marc Kielburger
Founded by brothers Craig and Marc Kielburger to help young people better the world, WE is now investing $30 million to build a new Social Entrepreneurship Centre with support from corporate and individual donors.
Is the WE Charity still around?
On 9 September 2020, We Charity announced that it was winding down its operations in Canada and selling its assets to establish an endowment that will help sustain ongoing We Charity projects around the world….WE Charity.

Is me to we a good charity?
Me to We has become one of the most well known Canadian charity works in the world as a result of WE Charity. Over the past 10 years, WE has partnered with massive brands, created a network of schools in Canada, and have clothing, bracelets and chocolate for sale, with all proceeds go towards their charitable efforts.
Where does free the children work?
Most of the work of Free the Children takes place on a local level among children who have formed groups in their schools, neighborhoods, religious centers, communities, or among their friends. Children make decisions regarding projects they undertake and organize the actions themselves.
How do the Kielburgers earn money?

Who funds the We charity?
It also received $6.7m in government funding and $5.2m in donated goods and volunteer time. WE Charity’s administrative costs are 3% of revenues (less investment income) and fundraising costs are 3% of Canadian donations. This results in total overhead spending of 7%.

Is the WE Day event cancelled in Canada?
Students earn their tickets by participating in the We Schools program, a year-long service learning program run by We Charity. Each event features a lineup of social activists, speakers and musical performances. The event was cancelled in September 2020 with the winding down of Canadian operations of the We Charity.
Where do WE Day events take place in the world?
Since then, the program has expanded to include annual events in 17 cities in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, including Vancouver, London, Chicago and Seattle.
How does the WE Day charity get its funding?
According to the WE Charity website WE Days are funded through dedicated cash and in-kind corporate donations. No program donations from youth or private individuals are used to fund WE Day. WE Day has one of the largest nonprofit Facebook pages in the world, with over 3.5 million likes.
