Is the Snugpak jungle bag waterproof?
Another thing I love about the Snugpak Jungle Bag is that it’s hooded with a built-in bug net to keep bugs away. You can use this bag straight on the ground (aka cowboy camping) without a shelter. That said, this Snugpak sleeping bag isn’t waterproof, just water resistant.

How do you clean a Snugpak jungle blanket?
Whenever possible, instead of a full wash, we recommend the sponging of both inner and outer fabrics with soap and water. Then dry and air the jacket or sleeping bag thoroughly before storing back in its compression sack. All Snugpak® sleeping bags are fully washable by hand or even by a washing machine.
How do you wash a Snugpak softie?
A front loading washing machine or hand washing is considered appropriate for washing Snugpak products. Snugpak recommend that you wash any of their products on a LOW temperature setting with non-bio liquid detergent and no fabric conditioner. Drying Snugpak products on a washing line is recommended.
Can you dry sleeping bags in the dryer?
After washing the bag, yes, you could put it through a dryer; most sleeping bags are designed to withstand industrial dryers. Make sure to dry the bag on the lowest heat setting available, while checking often to make sure the drum of the dryer is not getting too hot.
How do you clean army sleeping bags?
Wash the bag in warm water on a gentle cycle. Or follow the bag maker’s instructions. Rinse at least twice to thoroughly remove the cleaning agent. If the nylon bag is pooling water or feels spongy, put it through another rinse cycle.
Can you wash Army issued sleeping bag?
Field Pack: Take completely apart and wash with warm soapy water and a soft brush paying close attention to seam areas where dirt tends to collect. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residues. Please do not place any marking on the Field Pack.
