How does MCO choose Maryland Medicaid?
If you applied for Medicaid through the Department of Human Services (DHS), you can choose an MCO and PCP in one of these ways:
- Call Maryland Health Connection at 1-855-642-8572; or.
- Complete the form you received in your enrollment toolkit and mail in.
Does Maryland Medicaid cover prescriptions?
Medicaid, Medicare, and Maryland Health Connection all cover prescriptions. There are other special programs available to help with prescriptions as well.
Is MedStar select a PPO?
Associates may choose either the MedStar Select Plan or CareFirst Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plan. The MedStar Select Plan offers comprehensive medical coverage through the MedStar Select Provider Network and allows you to see out-of-network providers with minimum out- of-pocket costs.
Does MedStar Family Choice cover contact lenses?
Routine vision care is available to all MedStar Family Choice members. The vision benefits include an eye exam and new glasses each year. Contact lenses are only covered for certain conditions.
