Can you run Canon firmware on magic lantern?
You can run both Canon firmware and Magic Lantern, to some extent, in QEMU. The emulation guide also covers initial firmware analysis and has some reverse engineering tips. If you cannot find a firmware dumper, feel free to ask; just be aware this step won’t magically bring a developer to work on it.
Is there a ROM dumper for magic lantern?
The existence of a ROM dumper proves we are able to execute code on the camera, and enables anyone with the right skills to start looking into it. Nothing more, nothing less. In particular, ROM dumpers will NOT help you install Magic Lantern and will NOT provide any useful features on their own. When will it be ready?
