How much does it cost to build a pipe desk?

Can you make a desk out of PVC pipe?
As the title states, this Instructable will show you how to build an VERY large table out of a hollow core door and PVC pipe and fittings. They can be used for anything, such as craft tables, train tables, light desks or for garage sales or even family dinners as a ‘kids table’. It is entirely up to you.
How do you attach plexiglass to a desk?
- Place the plexiglass on a flat surface and draw a small dot at each corner with a black marker.
- Attach a 1/4-inch drill bit to a power drill and place the bit directly over any of the four marks on the plexiglass.
- Set the plexiglass on top of the wood.
How do you attach PVC pipe to plexiglass?
- Mix 1 cup of warm water and several drops of liquid dish soap.
- Rub the parts of the plexiglass and PVC that will be bonded with a piece of fine grit sandpaper.
- Wipe any plastic dust away from both surfaces using a wet rag.
- Spread a thin layer of epoxy onto the plexiglass.
- Press the PVC firmly onto the layer of epoxy.
Why is black pipe so expensive?
It is due to the zinc coating on the galvanized pipes and the manufacturing process. Galvanized fittings also cost more than the fittings used on black steel due to its demand for maintenance. And second, galvanized pipes are usually used for water transportation whereas black steel pipe for gas deliver.

What kind of pipe does a standing desk use?

How do you make a plexiglass table divider?
Build one leg, then the other. Next, pre-drill two holes in each of the 18 in. sides of the plexiglass sheet. On each side we put one hole 2″ down from the top and ½” in from the side, and we put the other hole 2″ up from the bottom and ½” in from the side.
