How long does it take ProtectaClear to dry?
ProtectaClear can take anywhere from 1-3 hours to dry between coats depending on humidity. However, the coating will not be fully cured for 4-5 days (air cure).
Is ProtectaClear permanent?
Everbrite™ and ProtectaClear® are self annealing, the coating will blend to itself and can be maintained indefinitely.
Can you paint over everbrite coating?
Yes, as long as the paint is completely cured. Everbrite coating will protect the paint.
How do you treat ProtectaClear in the oven?
Put dry, coated item in a low temperature oven – 180°F. or less for 1 hour. Everbrite™, ProtectaClear® and CrobialCoat™ Coatings will expand and contract with the metal, will provide extreme protection against corrosion, oxidation, tarnish, rust, acid rain, chalking and much more.
Can you use ProtectaClear on stones?
Yes, ProtectaClear® can be used on stones and minerals and will enhance the look. However, delicate gems like pearls or opals should not be coated with anything. Also, coating soft plastic beads or non-metalic stringing material is not recommended.
How do I remove ProtectaClear?
To remove the coating: Soak a clean cloth or paper towel in recommended solvent. Using light pressure, move the wet cloth across the surface allowing the solvent to dwell and “melt” the coating. Wipe the “melted” coating up and off of the surface. Repeat the process until the coating is removed.

How long does it take for everbrite to cure?
CURE TIME: The coating is an air dry solvent, so heat and air circulation help speed curing. Under normal circumstances & with good ventilation, the coating will be cured after 4-5 days. The coating will be delicate until it is fully cured, which can take up to two weeks.
How do you open a clear protecta?
The process is simple: Unscrew the cap. Hold the can to prevent the coating from spilling. Use a small screwdriver or ice-pick to pierce through the insert and pop it out. You may need to use a small hammer to tap the screwdriver to puncture the metal.
What can I coat copper with?
Coat the copper item in a protective coating to prevent future discoloration. Coat the item in beeswax or carnauba wax. Dip the soft cloth in the wax and apply it to the copper surface.
