Are Onyx hubs worth it?

Are freehub bodies interchangeable?

Most Shimano Freehub bodies are interchangeable. The exceptions are: FH-7850 and FH-7900 Dura-Ace bodies, which have returned to a splined attachment between Freehub body and hub shell, but it is larger than the usual one. It is similar but not interchangeable between these two models.

Can a Nobl hub be converted to an onyx hub?

To convert a NOBL or Onyx rear hub between HG or XD drivetrains, you’ll need a conversion kit. Each kit comes with the freehub specific sized axle, the freehub body and the corresponding end cap. The alloy freehubs are considerably lighter than the steel versions (45g for XD, 71g for HG) and are recommended for riders under 200lbs.
