Does Duplo fit on Lego base plates?

DUPLO® and LEGO® bricks are compatible, so you can use them together. LEGO® plates also won’t fit on DUPLO® parts, and neither will LEGO® parts with an odd number of studs along one side. For example, a 2×2 or 2×4 brick will fit, but a 1×2 or 2×3 brick won’t.

Are Duplo blocks discontinued?

Those Duplo ranges have been discontinued, but Duplo sets now include farm, zoo, town, castle, and pirate lines. A doll house and princess castle are available as of 2008. Some Duplo sets have cars, trucks, and buildings which cannot be disassembled.

Does all DUPLO fit together?

Plates, tiles and other modified pieces can’t stack with DUPLO. DUPLO can sit happily on top of plates, but plates and tiles only balance on top of Duplo, there’s no real clutch between them that way. You can stack regular 2×2, 2×4 etc lego bricks on top of normal duplo studs and they fit and hold fine.

How do you stick LEGO base plates to wood?

Buy a caulk tube of shower surround adhesive (I have used loctite power grab from Home Depot $5). Scuff the back of the LEGO plates with some sandpaper and apply the adhesive with a fine notched trowel and slap it on your wood 😉 Gently press any lumps out.

Are Lego and Duplo interchangeable?

You can stack Duplo bricks on Lego studs but only the outside of the brick grips the studs which in my experience leads to a relatively weak connection. Duplo base plates have studs with flat tops. These are incompatible with Lego.

I’m sorry to hear that our LEGO® Baseplate didn’t meet your expectations. The older piece you have is something a little different – a plate – which serves a different sort of purpose. Baseplates, like this one, are meant purely to serve as the very bottom of your build. That’s why they’re thinner and aren’t made to attach anything underneath.

Are there any duplos that are easy to build with?

Duplos need to be easy to use/build with for little children. This plate is so thin it bends every time we try to take a brick off and makes getting bricks off more difficult. My child accidentally steps on part of it and I fear it’s going to break into pieces.

Can a 2 year old use a Lego Duplo?

This is not what Lego quality used to be, or should be. Very disappointed with this product. The thickness of this baseplate is too thin, let alone for 2 year old child to play with. Duplos need to be easy to use/build with for little children.
