Can you still play Super Smash Flash?
As a reminder, moving into 2021 the Flash Player version will no longer be supported. Moving forward the browser version will still be preserved and maintained on SSF2’s new home site until a solution arrives to make it playable again, however only the downloadable version will be actively supported.
How do you play Super Smash Flash?

- Up+Attack = Air attack upward.
- Down+Attack (In Air) = Air attack downward.
- Down+Attack (On Ground) = Special Attack.
- Attack (without arrow keys) = Normal Attack.
- Attack (using left or right arrows) = “Smash” attack (does more damage than Normal)
Why was the smash ball removed from SSF2?
The Smash Ball makes a brief appearance in Sandbag’s Final Smash, Home-Run Combo, in which Sandbag initially throws it to trap opponents. 9b, the Smash Ball was unavailable due to unfinished Final Smashes. This happened again in patches of SSF2 Beta before v1. 2.0.

Many of you probably already know that the end of Flash Player support arrived today, with the full transition to being globally disabled arriving on January 12th, 2021. On the bright side, a project called Ruffle has been underway for quite some time to emulate the Flash Player in-browser without requiring a plugin.
How do you use your Final Smash in Super Smash Flash 2?
To perform a Final Smash, a player must be under the effects of a Smash Ball after breaking one or a Final Smash Meter when fully filled, which will replace their neutral special move with a single use of their Final Smash. As a visual cue, the character will be enveloped in a rainbow-colored flame.
How do you activate the final smash?
Any stage in the game can give you a Smash Ball. If you break open the item you can unlock your Final Smash, regardless of how much of the meter you’ve filled before. Once either condition is met, press the B button (or whatever else you assigned for the move) to perform your Final Smash.
