What resolution is QHD?
2560 x 1440 pixels
QHD is a screen resolution that measures 2560 x 1440 pixels and has a 16:9 aspect ratio. You’ll often find it on high-end devices like laptops, TVs, and smartphones. QHD is sharper than regular HD, but isn’t as clear as 4K — there are battery and cost trade-offs for each to consider before purchasing.
Is 1440p 2K or 4K?
1440P or 2560×1440 is 2K. It’s referred to as 2K because it has twice as many vertical pixels as standard 720P HD, the width is in the 2,000-pixel range, and it’s an easy term to use. 4K is usually used to describe displays that support resolutions with a 4,000 pixel width.
Does QHD mean 4K?
QHD is “4K” in the sense that it has four times as many pixels as the 720p HDTV video standard. But in this case, “4K” most likely just should be “4X” (aka: Quad (4) times normal HD size).

What is QHD good for?
QHD screens are noticeably sharper than Full HD (FHD) aka 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080) models, which are much more common and also cheaper than QHD displays. This higher resolution also makes going to screens larger than 27 inches without seeing individual pixels more feasible when shopping for a PC monitor.
Which is better QHD or 4K?
When it comes to how these resolutions look from a distance, there’s no real discernible difference between them. Viewing a QHD display across a living room or a crowded bar eliminates the need for added pixels. Because of this, QHD can gain a few points over 4K.
