Is NEXUS included in Global Entry?

All NEXUS members can enjoy the benefits of Global Entry at no additional cost through using the Global Entry kiosks for entry at participating airports. When using the Global Entry kiosks in Canada Preclearance locations you can use your passport, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident card or NEXUS card.

Does NEXUS include Global Entry and TSA PreCheck?

No. To receive TSA PreCheck®, you must include your Known Traveler Number (your CBP PASSID for Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI members) in the appropriate field of your airline reservation, and the TSA PreCheck® indicator must be displayed on the boarding pass to access the lanes.

What does Global Entry include?

Global Entry includes TSA PreCheck and its benefits but also gives you expedited U.S. customs screening when traveling internationally. Upon returning to the U.S., you can use an airport kiosk that should be far faster than traditional customs inspection lines. The TSA offers an FAQ for both programs.

Can I upgrade from NEXUS to Global Entry?

All current NEXUS members, and U.S. citizens and U.S. lawful permanent residents who are SENTRI members, are eligible to use Global Entry kiosks once they provide fingerprints and document information to CBP. For additional Global Entry benefit information, log on to your TTP account.

Does NEXUS get you TSA PreCheck?

NEXUS members are eligible to participate in TSA Precheck Logo. U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents enrolled in Global Entry or SENTRI are also eligible to participate in TSA Precheck Logo.

Why do I not get TSA PreCheck with Global Entry?

You didn’t attach your Known Traveler Number to your airline account. When you sign-up for TSA PreCheck, you’ll be assigned a Known Traveler Number. Even if you have proof of membership (like a Global Entry card), you can’t just walk through the TSA PreCheck lane and flash your credentials at the security officer.

What is the difference between Nexus and Global Entry?

Global Entry will allow you to enter the U.S. at virtually all international gateway United States airports and also where there is CBP immigration clearance in foreign countries, most notably Canada. Nexus is administered by Canada and has separate clearance criteria.

Can I upgrade my TSA PreCheck to Global Entry?

PreCheck is useful for domestic travelers, but it doesn’t come with Global Entry benefits, and unfortunately there’s no way to upgrade at a reduced rate. If you already have PreCheck and want to add Global Entry like Mark, you’ll have to go through the normal enrollment process.

Do you get TSA PreCheck with Global Entry?

Global Entry provides expedited U.S. customs screening for international air travelers when entering the United States. Global Entry members also receive TSA PreCheck® benefits as part of their membership.
