What are Kopper logs?
Koppers Log range Koppers treated logs are ideal for landscaping, fencing and a range of viticultural and horticultural applications. We use natural and renewable plantation pine treated to ensure durability against termites and decay.
How long do Koppers Logs last?
These products last a long time. Tests have shown they last 50 to 100 years in many landscape situations if they are treated to H5. (See table 1). Most log types have at least 80% treated Sapwood, so these work great.

What are coppers logs treated with?

H4. Used in high decay areas such as ground contact or fresh water. Generally used for fence posts and landscaping timbers. H5. Used for severe decay hazard risks such as ground contact where conditions of severe or continuous wetting may occur.
Does H3 pine rot?
Treated pine decking of H3 is not suitable for in ground use. While it is not dangerous, it can cause stains and discoloration of the decking timber. While treatment cannot completely stop the natural process of decay, H3 will slow it down and it will protect the treated pine decking from moderate level of decay.
