Why are there so many earthquakes near Mina Nevada?
They stem from the Walker Lane Seismic Fault Line which is connected to the infamous San Andreas Fault Zone. It runs east of the Sierra Nevada down through Mina and then west of Vegas. It’s called the Eastern California Shear Zone south of our region.
