What is a convection tray and trivet?
Together with the Weber Q Trivet, the Convection Trays transform your Weber Q from cooking in barbecue mode to oven mode in seconds. The tray is engineered with vents designed to circulate the heat above, below and all around the food. Sit your trivet inside the convection tray, pop the food in and close the lid.
Can you cook on a Weber Q with the lid open?
Cooking with the lid open lets all that delicious smokey flavour escape straight into the atmosphere. With the lid down on your Weber Q, you’ll find your barbecue hot enough to sear a great steak, your food will cook more quickly and more evenly and you’ll save gas and money.
How do you cook bacon on a Weber?
Bacon:
- Grill at medium direct heat, 400-425 degrees, for 3-4 minutes per side directly on the grate.
- Remove when crisp.
- Add to a bloody mary, burger, or simply enjoy plain.
Are striped bass eggs edible?
Striped bass has the most elegant roe. When cooked, it has a creamy texture and color much like a fine quenelle. Overfishing has diminished the size of the bass that are caught and consequently the size of the roe available; the roe from one striped bass makes just a snack-size meal.

Can you use a baking tray on Weber Q?
We don’t recommend that you use a baking dish in your Weber Q. This spits fat and grease all over the inside of your Weber Q. The next time you heat up your barbecue, you may find fat and grease dribbling from the edge of your lid onto the floor or other parts of your Weber Q.
